Our hunts are all self-guided adventures which you can play whichever day you fancy using either a smartphone or mobile data-enabled tablet. Following a series of clues on your phone, you’ll explore real world locations in order to find the answers and move on to the next clue.
Preparing for your hunt
All our hunts are played using the ClueKeeper app which is free to download:
Purchase your chosen hunt either via the web or directly inside the app. Once purchased, download your hunt ready for playing. Don’t worry if you’re not ready to start just yet, your hunt won’t actually begin until you enter the start code.
You can invite additional team members using the menu button on the hunt welcome screen. This will allow your hunt to display on multiple phones simultaneously. We recommend teams of 2-5 players. If you have more than this it’s often best to break into multiple teams.
During your hunt
Read your hunt instructions carefully as they will contain the start code word. When you are at the start location enter this to begin your hunt. From there it’s up to you to follow the trail of clues until you reach the finish! The route of the hunt will end close to the start point. Feel free to use maps to check directions.
If you get stuck you’ll usually find a hint available. And as a last resort you can always skip a question and move onto the next.
